Climbing travel to Morocco

Amellago and Oued Laou

While the autumn settles down in France, it is to take a last draft of sun and heat before the long tunnel of the winter that I invite you to take in Morocco.

The climbing will be as usual a pretext in the discovery of deep Morocco far from mass tourism tracks.

You will embark in Sète on a ferry to Nador on April 18th after noon or you will off-load after a mini cruise of 36 hours on 20th in the morning.

I'll find you at the release of the customs of the port and from there, after a stopping place in the big market of Nador we shall set off to the High-Atlas to meet Amellago cliffs and boulders' extraordinary limestones and sandstones where we'll pass one week.

We shall then set off to the North which first stage will be in the medina of Fes for the discovery of the Arabian-Berber eternal city. Then we'll do a stopping place of 3 days to climb near Oued Laou, a small fishermen's town on the coast of Rif where we'll take advantage of attractions of the Mediterranean Coast.

Then we'll take together in Tangier the ferry which will return us on May 5th in the morning in port of Sète, after rest day and offshore relaxation.

Indicative program

Day -1: departure of Sète
Day 1: arrived at Morocco, Nador market and road to Amellago
Day 2 to 4: climbing in Amellago
Day 5: rest (possible Hike)
Day 6 to 8: climbing in Amellagoo
Day 9: road from Amellago to Fes (bouldering in Middle Atlas)
Day 10: Medina de Fes, road to Oued Laou
Day 11 to 13: climbing in the gorges of Oued Laou
Day 14: boarding in Tangier
Day 15: return in Sète in the morning.

Price :1200 Euros including the guide, the food and the accommodation in Morocco.
For the ferry count, for a round trip from 70 euro a person to 250 euro depending comfort.
Maximum persons: 6.
